My brother's wedding on 11/14... family from all over the country came to Cancun... I had a great time with my aunts, working on crafts and favors for that day...
V's baby boy was born on 11/17... her husband asked for red car COOKIES...
These COOKIES traveled south to Chetumal, across the border from Belice... I loved the colors and F. was really happy with the crosses...
These were made for a 50 Anniversary celebration... the couple renewed vows and they had a big party... I had some problems while icing these COOKIES... I was almost half done with the doodles and numbers when I realized I was writing "25" instead of "50"!!! I had to bake, and ice COOKIES again... the weather was really humid, and the COOKIES were not drying... I liked how the turned out, though...
These Mario Bros. COOKIES were fun!! They were for a big birthday party... some were favors, and other were lollies...
and this week... on the first Posada day, 12/16, my new niece was born... my youngest brother told us they were having another baby on my birth day dinner, last April, so she really means a lot to me... my SIL asked for baby footprints, and my mom and I worked on a Candy project for the hospital, that they both liked...
Mil Gracias por nuestras galletas... como siempre deliciosas y muy especiales...
ReplyDeleteDe nada, Jjo... que bueno que les gustaron :) Besos
ReplyDeleteWhat are those squares on the top?? I really like the simplicity of the design.
ReplyDeleteOne time when I was working on a really complex job of car cookies, I iced ALL OF THEM in silver like the photo I was given. Then I checked the order form, and they were suppose to be blue.
Glad to know I'm not the only one who makes these kinds of mistakes!!
Hope all is well with you Bea, Feliz Navidad!!
Oh, Bea! Your cookies are gorgeous...each and every one of them!
ReplyDeleteSo funny about the "25's" :)
I iced the squares in primary colors, made a swirl, bagged them and added little tags with a Dymo style font (they used that font for the envelopes, too)... my SIL asked me to make tags with "14"... I liked the black and white tag against the colored COOKIE...
ReplyDeleteThank you, Bridget! I learned a lot through your blog :)
ReplyDeleteI have a foot cookie cutter and had no idea how to decorate it. I love the simplicity of your design! Thanks for the inspiration!
